Submitting a Claim in the Background (Queue Button)

If a patient has multiple third parties, the claim is sent to the first third party listed in the Bill field. If the first third party does not cover all of the claim, you can then send it to the next third party. Any costs not covered by the patient's third parties must be paid by the patient, unless you choose to waive the costs.

When you press the Queue button, the claim is queued and is sent to the third party in the background. You can use PharmaClik Rx while the claim is being sent to the third party.

Note: To see the results of the claim immediately, use the Fill action button instead.

  1. Open a prescription in Rx Detail.

Note: PharmaClik Rx checks if the drug is eligible under the patient's first third party plan. If it is not eligible, the third party is removed from the Bill field. If you want, you can override the drug eligibility and send the claim to the ineligible third party.

  1. Press the Queue button.
  2. If you have set Prompt for Dialogue on Fill as a default pharmacy setting, the Dialogue window appears. Complete the Dialogue window and press OK.
  3. The Processing dialogue box appears. The current status is Queued to indicate the claim is being queued.

The prescription is placed on the Queued tab and is sent to third party in the background. The claim will be sent to the first third party in the Bill field. When the claim returns from the third party, you can check the results of the claim submittal.
